Cake class

I took the Wilton basic class last fall. I've discovered that I like decorating but do not like the baking. I am currently taking the fondant and gumpaste class. It's like playdoh for adults. You can mold and shape and hopefully the flower takes the shape you want.

Merry Christmas everyone. I have been working on Christmas cards. I finally finished them today. Of course they will not all be on time, but they did get done.

I recently discovered Copic markers. After much searching for a decent price,I placed an order and they arrived saturday. After a search for how to actually use them, I arrived at the Cuttlebug Challenge blogspot. They are having video classes for 2 weeks. This Tilda image is my "homework" assignment. I had a minor problem with bleeding (operator error I assure you) but I do love how it turned out. I can't wait for the next lesson.

A new simple card

I finally got around to my scrap area and made a card. Its very simple but that is what I prefer. I am hoping to get motivation to work on some Christmas cards although it could be January before I finish one.

I've been wanting to do a layout of this picture for awhile now. I finally had the motivation to get up and create. I am so far behind in pages I randomly pick pictures and go. I would love to scrap in some sort of order but I find it hard to do so.

My first post! Ramblings of a mom.

I am trying to prepare my daughter for high school. I cannot believe I have a daughter going to HIGH SCHOOL. How did that happen? Last night was open house at the high school. OK, I though we were going to do a tour, keyword here is WE, right. I guess I was mistaken because when we got to the school, I was informed, by my daughter, I could wait for my daughter in the entrance and she would meet me in 20 minutes. HUH? Alright, you go ahead I tell her, I will just find my way around my myself.
Wow, high school is not what I remember. It is set up more like a college.
